I was driiving (in a dream) on a standard road for here in Connecticut; two lanes, a double yellow line, and curvey enough to never have any passing zones. I was travelling at what felt like a normal speed, probably about 40 or 50 mph. A speed limit sign said 70mph and I thought for sure that it was a mistake or a prank.

No one would be dumb enough to do 70mph.
People would simply drive what they felt was normal and safe for the road.

Just then, a tandem truck came screaming past me.
One after another, cars and trucks went honking by.

I was hoping that the next speed limit sign would be back to normal, but it wasn't. I did not want to go any faster as it did not feel safe, but I was certain a wreck was coming soon. I was conflicted and started to wonder if I was the problem. I drove on with this tension and confusion until the end of the dream.

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

I think pic of my buddy Charlie pretty much sums it all up.

I feel like throwing all my electronics into the ocean. Is this is what burnout feels like?
