Hi, everyone! New member here. I first became aware of the queen that is Bridget Phetasy almost a year ago through all the hours I wasted on Twitter. It started as a simple follow, but after seeing all the amazing work she's done (and even having her follow me back!) , I can honestly say she's one of my public figures online.
As for who I am, I'm 25 but feel as if I'm far from being a true adult. I'm autistic, and that on top of a difficult childhood and a dysfunctional family have given me more than my fair share of challenges. However, I am working on slowly improving my situation. I graduate with an associate's degree two years, have managed to maintain a part time job in a market research place for a year now, and I'm currently finishing a novel that I hope to get published within a year or two. Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

hungry hearts and fall harvests, angry words
and healing prayers. Whether you put your
foot in the water or not, the waves will roll
in and out. The starling in the snow finds
the squirrel’s discarded stash.
Smile. Breathe. Life goes on.
Be grateful.
We are in this together.

Support free speech - we are in this together. Support civil liberties - we are in this together. Believe in smaller government with less overreach - we are in this together. Believe most people would like to live their lives without the government or fellow citizens interfering in how they think or act - we are in ...
