I know when the Culture Wars are getting me down and I'm wondering what I'm doing, this place and you, the people who make it up, remind me that I must be doing something right to have gathered such a bad ass group of individuals who just want to bake and garden and make stuff and for the most part, mind their own damn business.
I'm not sure I take the time to appreciate you all enough--because it never feels like enough--and although I've been insanely busy lately, just popping my head in and seeing you all interacting makes me smile at the end of a long day.
So thank you for your love and support and kindness. When I grabbed that Post-It in the Starbucks that said "remember why you started" it was to connect to people--and connect people. You here in this community are the reason I started and it's your encouragement that often keeps me going. It's like I'm running a marathon and I have no idea what the race is for or when the end is--but I'm grateful to have you cheering me on, running with me and splashing me with a cold dose of water when I need it.
