Another, totally random video, but interesting perspective from a creative.. I guess I fed the algorithm, and was graced by this recommendation from the YouTube temple - after exploring some of the music by Yello, there. Joking aside, I enjoy hearing from creatives about what compels and inspires them. This is an 8 min blurb from Boris Blank - a founding member of the band Yello. At the conclusion, he explains the history behind the famous track "Oh Yeah" - which was apparently another example of the through-caution-to-the-wind riff with low expectations and the anticipation that the exercise would end up on the cutting room floor [... literally. Like he really worked in the day when they literally spliced audio tape and taped it back together ... cool stuff, man ... unless the candle blew out, and then one might accidentally cut one's fingers ... and that would spoil the tape ... so, anyway ...].

Oh yeah, and you can work on your Dutch language skills ... I think. I believe ...

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Built for snow.
