A piece of advice I recently saw shared by a YouTuber I follow, just came into my mind and I think it's especially appropriate.

The gist, is that there is never a good time for anything. So if you have time (meaning that you're above ground) you should go ahead and do those things you would otherwise be waiting on.

The idea that there is some "optimal moment" around the bend for doing a certain task, is mostly nonsense. Especially now, it's very easy to think about things in terms of "doing it when things are back to normal" or once a certain milestone gets reached. But if you can work on something now, even if you can imagine some better scenario later, you might as well start now.

There's never a good time to do anything. So anything you want to do should be done now.

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Candied pecans and Pumpkin Flan are done! House smells divine.

Just read @bridgetphetasy ‘s column for the December issue of Spectator. Bridget, when are you going to collect your essays, columns, stories, and other writings into a book? I would buy a copy and possibly several additional copies to send to my more “woke” friends.
