I grew up lucky, i was taught respect, i was taught honesty, i was taught honor. I was taught “You’re growing up in the freest country on earth.” My dad told me that often,

As i got older i learned about the founding of this great nation. i took a music appreciation class, that i did not appreciate at the time by the way lol, and i learned about great American music. I learned the history of our national anthem, did you know it started as a poem? Or it was written by a man stuck on a British ship? A man who watched as the British bombed Fort McHenry, a man who watched in terror, he knew the White House, the Capitol Building, and the Library of Congress were all burned to the ground.
