🇺🇸warning, this post is ridiculously pro USA🇺🇸

I grew up lucky, i was taught respect, i was taught honesty, i was taught honor. I was taught “You’re growing up in the freest country on earth.” My dad told me that often,

As i got older i learned about the founding of this great nation. i took a music appreciation class, that i did not appreciate at the time by the way lol, and i learned about great American music. I learned the history of our national anthem, did you know it started as a poem? Or it was written by a man stuck on a British ship? A man who watched as the British bombed Fort McHenry, a man who watched in terror, he knew the White House, the Capitol Building, and the Library of Congress were all burned to the ground. Fort McHenry in Baltimore stood as a last hope. And a man standing in the bottom of a ship looking out a porthole knew that, so he watched, ...

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Got in some good snugs with this monster this morning🥰

Now he is following me around like my hands owe him something ( he is terrified of thunderstorms and I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason he is so snuggly today but I’ll take it!)

Morning Phetasy Phamily! My #SoberOctober ended today, many thanks to all of you for the support and encouragement. While I didn't lose the 15 pounds I ideally hoped to lose, I came close at 13.5 with less exercise than I planned but better disciplined fasting & abstaining. 2 More days for those of you running until November the 1st! Happy Friday Phamily!

It was Einstein who said
Either nothing is a miracle,
Or everything is -
A jagged mountain range,
Lilacs in bloom,
A peacock unfurled,
Sun on your arm,
the touch of a stranger.

Take your pick: be surprised
By nothing at all,
Or by everything that is.
