I seem to keep coming across media that accidentally applies to things that are happening now. I was watching a sort of documentary on Netflix about Monty Python, though actually it's not so much a documentary as it is a filmed conversation between the then-surviving members of Monty Python on the making of Monty Python's Meaning of Life, and other related-topics. And at one point, they start talking about how it's hard to do comedy nowadays, and that you couldn't make something like Monty Python today, because Monty Python was about taking institutions and making them more ridiculous, but nowadays real life is more ridiculous than anything they could possibly make up. Reality has become parody. So Monty Python was talking about Phetasy.

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Not sure if this story has done the rounds already- maybe possible #DumpsterFire material?

Got in some good snugs with this monster this morning🥰

Now he is following me around like my hands owe him something ( he is terrified of thunderstorms and I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason he is so snuggly today but I’ll take it!)
