Two Fun Facts about drug testing in the military:
1. For reasons that are unclear, all urine samples, no matter where they are collected, are FedExed overnight to Hawaii to be tested. Due to a special government deal with FedEx, this is less expensive than it sounds.
2. Drug tests have upper limits to the concentrations of drugs they can detect, like if a 500-pound man steps on a scale that only goes to 300. You know he weighs more than 300 pounds, but you don't know how much more. In drug tests, this threshold is called the "Limit of Linearity," so if a servicemember has so much of a drug in his system that it breaks the test, the result comes back as "LOL."
