On Sunday, at my 15-yr old’s request, we watched “Just Mercy”. [ ] This includes Marvel alumni Michael B. Jordan, and Brie Larson, as well as Jamie Foxx. Jordan was also one of the producers. I recommend it – not because it suggests woke-ness, but because it is a compelling story, it is nicely put together, and had good performance by the actors. Based on historical events of the characters portrayed, it raises more questions, and it also shows both those who acted questionably and those – even beyond the main actors – who acted courageously and testified – suffering career reversals, or other setbacks. I would like to learn more about, Bryan Stevenson, the attorney portrayed by Michael B. Jordan.

The movie also reminded me of a book called, “Killing Time”, [ ]. Very similar story line, almost contemporaneous, ...
