I wish someone could explain to me through which nefarious means President Trump kept Mayor Jacob Frey from reforming the Minneapolis PD.
Does he have hiring or firing authority over it? Was he able to somehow veto a policy change regarding the use of neck restraints? Is his approval in any way required for the Minnesota attorney general to press charges in cases of police misconduct?
Why is it supposedly so obvious that Trump bears some responsibility for George Floyd's death? I've heard the theory that people like Chauvin are "emboldened" by Trumps presidency, but it there some evidence that police kill a greater or lesser number of people depending on who the president is?
