Sigh, all the years lost burying my head in the sand and missing out on culture. I can't imagine anyone who's on Twitter doesn't follow Jack. Jack is quality. If you watch the full-screen video, you can see this movie clearer- it's the oracle scene.

As a distraction, I have included a plantain cream pie I made a couple years back. Like banana cream, but instead of bananas on the bottom, fried plantains (maduros). The speckles of spice are mace, the weird tendrils that envelop nutmeg seeds. Do non-Texans know what maduros are? Perhaps it's from living in pretty white area, but I feel like I often have to explain plantains. Weirdos. Cali people likely know of this treat as well.

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Is this a #BreakingBridget segment item? Girl Scouts send a tweet congratulating Amy Coney Barrett for being nominated to SCOTUS. Then, they take it down and offer their atonement to the WokeScolds - I mean, an apology. They’re still getting hammered for even making the tweet. This is why we can’t have nice things.

I did a thing today. I made it over 3/4 of a mile!
Been 1 1/2 years since I lost my leg. Feel a bit good about these numbers today. :-)
