So I mentioned on one of @bridgetphetasy's posts that I once worked at a call center that contracted with Spectrum. I answered chats for Spectrum's billing department. To say it was miserable would give misery a bad name. That place drained my soul. I hated it with every fiber of my being, and I think everyone else that worked there felt the same.
The majority of people chatted in because their service had been cut off and they wanted to know how much they would have to pay to get it restored. Add to that how confusing Spectrum's website is and how much rigamarole they had to go through to even talk to a person, and you can guess that by the time the chat got to us the customer was already not in a good mood. Then AFTER they got to us, we had to establish their identity. Now, you may have suspected this, but most of the time we already had their accounts pulled up by the time the chat got to us, and we had all the identifying information they had provided on their account. ...

Hello new followers, I hope I don’t disappoint you. I want this place to feel like home, where we can escape the Thunderdome and process the world. Where we can post dog pics and recipes and book recommendations. Where we support each other as we get sober, lose weight, embark on new business opportunities, creative endeavors, relationships and travels. I want this to be your oasis of sanity and laughter in an increasingly mad world. A creative outlet where you can share your spirit with us.

We might not have any control over the news cycle—but we can control our habits and attitude. It all starts with us. And hopefully a little piece of that will start here.

Got in some good snugs with this monster this morning🥰

Now he is following me around like my hands owe him something ( he is terrified of thunderstorms and I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason he is so snuggly today but I’ll take it!)

Morning Phetasy Phamily! My #SoberOctober ended today, many thanks to all of you for the support and encouragement. While I didn't lose the 15 pounds I ideally hoped to lose, I came close at 13.5 with less exercise than I planned but better disciplined fasting & abstaining. 2 More days for those of you running until November the 1st! Happy Friday Phamily!

It was Einstein who said
Either nothing is a miracle,
Or everything is -
A jagged mountain range,
Lilacs in bloom,
A peacock unfurled,
Sun on your arm,
the touch of a stranger.

Take your pick: be surprised
By nothing at all,
Or by everything that is.
